Agricultural Mechanic
Agricultural Mechanic - Suffolk -£40,000 – £45,000 + Accommodation

The Role:
A progressive farming business is seeking an experienced Agricultural Mechanic to support the ongoing maintenance and performance of its machinery fleet. This is a hands on position, working across a range of modern agricultural equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency across all farming operations, particularly during peak seasonal periods.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of agricultural machinery
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Maintain tractors, combines, cultivation equipment, and associated machinery
- Support operational activities to minimise downtime during busy periods
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
- Assist with workshop duties, including fabrication and general repairs where required
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers as needed
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organised working environment

The Candidate:
- Proven experience in agricultural machinery maintenance or a similar role
- Strong technical knowledge of modern farm equipment, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Welding or fabrication experience would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence (additional tickets beneficial but not essential)
- Practical, reliable, and proactive approach to work

The Package
- Salary OTE £40,000 – £45,000 DOE
- 3 bedroom cottage available to rent

- Varied role combining workshop and on-farm responsibilities

Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
