Agricultural Sales Representative
Agricultural Sales Representative - Dorchester, Dorset - OTE £65,000 + Company vehicle + Benefits
The Job:
An opportunity has arisen for an Agricultural Sales Representative to join a successful and expanding agricultural machinery dealership. Covering Dorset and parts of Devon and Somerset, you will be responsible for developing new business, maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and promoting a wide range of new and used agricultural and turf machinery. This is a varied field based role that would suit a motivated sales professional with a passion for agriculture and machinery.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop new business opportunities while managing and growing an existing customer base
- Sell new and used agricultural and turf machinery across your designated territory
- Build long term customer relationships through regular farm visits and excellent customer service
- Conduct machinery demonstrations and provide product advice to customers
- Maintain accurate customer and equipment records using the company CRM system
- Keep up to date with product developments, finance options and industry trends
- Monitor competitor activity and provide market feedback to the sales management team
- Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to delivery and aftersales support

The Candidate:
- Previous experience within a sales role, ideally involving agricultural, turf, construction or plant machinery
- Good knowledge of agricultural machinery, farming practices, or the wider agricultural sector would be advantageous
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills with a proactive approach to winning new business
- Confident using CRM systems, Microsoft Office and other digital sales tools
- Well organised, self-motivated and able to manage your own territory effectively
- Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel throughout the assigned region and participate in a Saturday morning rota
The Package
- On target earnings of £65,000 per annum
- Company vehicle
- Private medical insurance after three years' service
- Up to 33 days' holiday including bank holidays

Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
