Engineering Supervisor
Engineering Supervisor (Feed Manufacturing) - North Somerset - £56,000 + Benefits

The Job:
As Engineering Supervisor, you'll be responsible for ensuring the site's engineering function operates efficiently, supporting production through effective maintenance planning and strong leadership. Working closely with the Production and Operations teams, you'll help maximise plant performance while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities:
- Leading and supporting a team of maintenance engineers
- Planning and coordinating preventative and reactive maintenance activities
- Driving improvements in equipment reliability and plant performance
- Managing maintenance schedules and engineering records using a CMMS
- Working closely with production to minimise downtime and improve efficiency
- Investigating recurring equipment issues and implementing long-term solutions
- Coordinating external contractors and ensuring work is completed safely and to the required standards
- Managing engineering stores and spare parts to support efficient maintenance operations
- Supporting compliance with statutory inspections and site engineering requirements
- Providing technical support during breakdowns, including participation in an on call rota

The Company:
We're working with a well established manufacturer within the agricultural sector to recruit an Engineering Supervisor to lead a skilled maintenance team at their Bristol site. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in manufacturing or process engineering who enjoys leading people, improving equipment reliability, and driving operational performance in a fast paced production environment.

The Candidate: 
- Previous experience in an engineering supervisory or team leader role
- A recognised Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
- Experience working within feed manufacturing or a similar process industry
- Strong knowledge of planned maintenance systems and CMMS software
- Experience with PLC-controlled production equipment
- Electrical fault-finding skills within an industrial environment
- Knowledge of steam, boilers or compressed air systems
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A practical approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
