The Job:
We are working with an established and growing broiler business in North Yorkshire who are looking for a Poultry Washer to join their team. This is a hands on role responsible for the washing, cleaning and preparation of broiler sheds between flocks. You will play an important part in maintaining high standards of hygiene and biosecurity across the poultry units.

Key responsibilities:
- Thoroughly washing and cleaning broiler poultry sheds between flocks
- Operating pressure washers and other cleaning equipment
- Washing floors, walls, ceilings, equipment and other surfaces
- Cleaning feeders, drinker systems and poultry equipment
- Removing dust, dirt and organic matter from the sheds
- Working to strict biosecurity and hygiene procedures
- Carrying out cleaning and disinfection to a high standard
- Preparing sheds ready for the arrival of the next flock
- Ensuring all areas are left clean, tidy and ready for use
- Working efficiently to meet the farm's turnaround schedules
- Reporting any maintenance issues or problems with equipment
- Supporting the wider farm team when required

The Candidate:
- Previous poultry washing or agricultural experience
- Confident using pressure washers
- Understand the importance of biosecurity and hygiene
- Have good attention to detail
- Be physically fit and comfortable working in a demanding environment
- Reliable and able to work to deadlines
-  Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Have a flexible approach to working hours around flock movements
- Take pride in completing work to a high standard

The Package:
- Salary £30,000 - £37,000 DOE 
- Accommodation available

Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
