Service Technician
Service Technician - Inverness - £63,000 + Benefits

The Job:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Technician to join a leading supplier of specialist equipment within the forestry sector. This role is ideal for a skilled engineer looking to work with advanced machinery, providing both workshop and on site maintenance and repair services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out maintenance, servicing and repair of specialist forestry equipment in both workshop and field environments
- Diagnose and resolve hydraulic, electrical and mechanical faults
- Travel extensively to customer sites, with occasional overnight stays required
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong working relationships
- Complete relevant service documentation and use IT systems to support daily activities

The Candidate:
- A completed apprenticeship, National Diploma, or equivalent qualification in forestry, agricultural, construction, or a related engineering discipline or significant relevant engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
- A full UK driving licence
- Good IT skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A flexible approach to work and travel
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Strong problem solving and fault-finding skills
- Experience working with forestry, agricultural or construction machinery
- Knowledge of the forestry industry would be advantageous but is not essential

All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
