Telesales & Customer Development Executive
Telesales & Customer Development Executive - Home Based UK - Part time, 20 hours per week + £28,000–£35,000 + Commission
Preferred Location: Within a reasonable travelling distance of a company office, Home-Based UK (with monthly travel to Daventry or London office locations)
The Job:
An established and growing business serving the agricultural sector is seeking a proactive and personable Telesales & Customer Development Executive to help strengthen relationships with both new and existing customers. The successful candidate will play an important role in the customer journey, helping to deliver excellent service while supporting continued sales growth.
This is a home based position with occasional travel for training, collaboration and team meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow up online enquiries and customer orders via telephone and email
- Contact new customers after purchase to introduce the business and build relationships
- Gather information about customers' farming enterprises, livestock numbers, forage systems, contractor usage and future requirements
- Identify opportunities to cross sell and upsell complementary products and services
- Re-engage inactive or lapsed customers
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions within the CRM system
- Support the wider sales team with lead generation and customer insights
- Identify customer trends, feedback and market opportunities
- Work closely with the marketing team to support campaigns and promotions
- Contribute to high levels of customer satisfaction, retention and loyalty
The Candidate:
- Confident and comfortable speaking with customers over the phone
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to customer engagement
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Competent using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital sales platforms
- Interested in agriculture and farming, with sector knowledge viewed favourably
- Previous experience in telesales, customer service, account management, sales support, or a similar customer-facing role
- Experience using CRM systems
- Ability to build rapport quickly and develop customer relationships
- Knowledge or experience of the agricultural sector
- Experience supporting e-commerce or online customer journeys
- Understanding of farming businesses and agricultural purchasing processes
