Yard & Warehouse Operative
Yard & Warehouse Operative - Cambridge - £31,000 

The Job:
Our client is looking to recruit a Yard & Warehouse Operative to join their team in Cambridge. This is a varied, hands on role within a busy agricultural and rural supplies business, supporting the efficient movement, storage and dispatch of stock while maintaining excellent standards of safety and customer service.

Key responsibilities:
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and accurately
- Picking and preparing customer orders for collection and delivery
- Moving and storing stock within the yard and warehouse
- Preparing goods for dispatch
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Supporting customers and colleagues as required
- Following all company health and safety procedures
- Assisting with occasional local deliveries when needed

The Candidate:
- Experience in a warehouse, yard, agricultural, merchanting or similar environment
- A practical and proactive approach to work
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Forklift experience would be advantageous, although training can be provided
- Full UK driving licence
- Good level of physical fitness due to the manual nature of the role
- Strong awareness of health and safety

Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
