Field Trials Assistant – Gloucestershire – to £35k basic salary + bonus, career progression opportunities and great overall benefits package!

The Job Vacancy:

This Field Trials Assistant job vacancy is based in Gloucestershire and it really is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to be part of a growing international and market-leading company, with great future progression opportunities available! This is a highly varied role where you will contribute to the organisation’s ongoing research and development programme through generation of empirical data (observation and experimental) from lab- and field-based activities.

The Field Trials Assistant will be responsible for:

·         Assisting with internal field trials to provide data on best practice guidelines, as well as product development and new product design

·         Accurate handling of samples and data

·         Contributing to analytical work to support decision-making based on trial data: laboratory, semi-field and field based

·         Participating in demonstration events and trials with key customers

·         Maintaining awareness of market trends, regulatory changes and other relevant information and feedback to line manager as appropriate

·         Representing the company at appropriate industry events

The Person:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Engineering or Food Science.

  • Prior experience within a technical, research-focused role, ideally within agricultural sector, would be desirable.

  • Familiarity with regional practices relating to pesticide use and application processes

  • Can demonstrate a creative and innovative approach to problem solving

  • Experienced with trial design in an agricultural environment

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Ability to self-motivate and deliver to agree deadlines
