1.0 Privacy policy for Agricultural Recruitment Specialists – GDPR Compliance

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists take the privacy of our clients and candidates seriously. We are committed to privacy for everyone who accesses the site. We are an executive recruitment company, operating in the niche market of Agricultural Recruitment and Executive Selection.

1.1 How we receive information and how we may use it

This statement explains how we process personal data received into our organisation.

First and foremost, Agricultural Recruitment Specialists will use the data you have supplied to help you obtain the very best service for you.

Your personal data will only be collected by Agricultural Recruitment Specialists to provide you with recruitment services. Your data can only be accessed by authorised persons in order to provide you with recruitment and recruitment-related services.

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists receive your personal data when you apply directly for an advertised role via our website; when you apply directly to be a candidate for whom we can conduct a job search or via a third party when you respond to a job post placed by Agricultural Recruitment Specialists on a job board on behalf of a third-party client.

We also collect information and analytics from our website to provide us with a better understanding of the users of our website as a group, but which does not contain personally identifiable information.

By sending an updated Curriculum Vitae directly to one of our Recruitment Consultants you are giving consent to Agricultural Recruitment Specialists processing and storing that information.  We will not share your information with any third party without your explicit consent.

When you register with Agricultural Recruitment Specialists you consent to us collecting and storing your personal information. This may include but is not restricted to your name; contact details; address; employment history; mobility and education. We process this personal data as necessary to aid the recruitment process and to continually improve our service offering.

We collect this information so that we can contact you with relevant jobs or to talk about your experience and future aspirations, so that we provide the best service to you.

During telephone conversations and face to face interviews we may collect personal information with regard to employment preferences, salaries and work history which may be stored on your personal record. This information facilitates our ability to support your job search and to provide a basis for recommendation when short-listing candidates for a particular job role. By explicitly providing consent when you register with Agricultural Recruitment Specialists you are providing permission for our storage of this information. Agricultural Recruitment Specialists will never share personal information or a Curriculum Vitae with a third party without your explicit consent.

Regarding Job Alerts, Agricultural Recruitment Specialists may occasionally contact candidates stored in our database who are not actively looking for a new role. By providing consent to our storage of your personal data you are also providing consent to us contacting you if we receive details of a role which specifically matches your career aspirations or if we are looking for your help in sourcing a candidate for a role, based on your knowledge, experience, network and/or location.

Due to the nature of executive recruitment, a significant number of candidates reconnect with our organisation periodically. It is not uncommon for this to occur years after we have placed them in a role. For this reason, your consent includes explicit consent to retain your personal details until such time as you wish us to delete your records from our database or refrain from further engagement.

If you contact one of our Recruitment Consultants directly and request they consult with you regarding your job search, or regarding a particular job role, you are giving your consent to Agricultural Recruitment Specialists processing your email and the data contained within your email for lawful purposes.

A key reason for us to use your information is to maintain our business relationship, where you are a user of our website as a client or candidate.

Additionally, we will hold data in order to fulfil contractual obligations with our clients. The main reason for using information about our clients is to ensure that the contractual arrangements between us can properly be implemented so that the relationship can run smoothly. The more information we have, the more bespoke we can make our service, as well as to ensure that we provide the best service that we can to you. We store client details (and update them when necessary) on our database, so that we can contact you in relation to recruitment activities, as well as keeping records of our conversations and meetings, so that we can provide targeted services to you and processing your data for the purpose of targeting appropriate marketing campaigns. In more unusual circumstances, we may use your personal data to help us to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

1.2 How your data will be stored and for how long

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect. Our security procedures protect data from being misused, misplaced, or accessed, changed or disclosed by unauthorised people.

We will store your data in our cloud CRM System, an internal system only accessible by our consultants. Our use of a CRM system ensures that your data is securely stored. Our consultants can search and process this data, only in order to provide you with recruitment services.

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists will keep your personal data no longer than necessary. We will appropriately dispose of your personal data when it is no longer required or if you ask to be removed from our systems. We would normally retain data on our database until you retire. This is to allow us to provide you with a quality ongoing recruitment and career advisory service for the entirety of your career. However, you can request removal of your data at any time.

If you do not consent to Agricultural Recruitment Specialists storing your personal data or setting up a personal registration for you, please do not submit your Curriculum Vitae for any roles advertised on our website.

1.3 Candidate Promise

We will always check with our candidates before submitting any of their personal details or Curriculum Vitae with a third party without the candidate’s explicit consent, and then we will only share the personal information with that one company or individual.

1.4 Request to have personal data amended

It is likely that over time your employment history will require updating as you transition to new roles or receive promotion. Agricultural Recruitment Specialists undertake to update your registration within two weeks of receiving an updated Curriculum Vitae.

Under the GDPR legislation, you have the right to ask for access to your personal information. Once Agricultural Recruitment Specialists have verified your identity we will provide the information you requested within 30 days.

Where Agricultural Recruitment Specialists have placed a candidate in a role, or have submitted a candidate to a role, they are required to retain evidence of that placing and/or introduction so that contractual obligations can be met by the client. Agricultural Recruitment Specialists will however take steps to ensure only minimal personal data is retained.

In the event that you wish to be erased from Agricultural Recruitment Specialists secure Recruitment Database you should contact info@agriRS.co.uk. Please make it clear that you wish to be erased completely, rather than simply marked as no longer job seeking and/or no longer requesting emails/job alerts from ourselves.

We are aware of our responsibility as a recruiter to protect your information and to only share details with third parties upon receipt of your explicit consent. All of our systems are protected and only Agricultural Recruitment Specialists employees and our CRM software provider has access to the personal information stored in your registration.
