Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant – County Wicklow - €45,000 DOE + Hybrid Working + Excellent Benefits
The Job:
We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant/Finance Assistant to join a dynamic finance team, reporting directly to the Group Head of Finance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career with a leading company in the supply chain sector. The role offers the chance to become an integral part of a fast-paced environment and contribute to the efficiency of the finance department.
As an Accounts/Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of finance processes. Your main responsibilities will include processing customer invoices, issuing monthly statements, and managing credit control while maintaining debtor ledgers. You will verify delivery costs for customers, prepare the monthly sales report, and manage debtor insurance in line with customer limits. Additionally, you’ll handle company credit card maintenance, analyse financial data, and produce accurate reports, while working with multi-currency transactions and maintaining ERP systems (experience with Sage 200 is an advantage).
The Person:
- Accounting Technician qualification or equivalent
- Knowledge of VIES, Intrastat, and Triangulation
- Experience with ERP systems and Sage 200 (or similar)
- Familiarity with supply chain management
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar finance role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Collaborative work style, supporting colleagues across the business
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy
- Commitment to continuous learning and development
The Package:
- Salary €37,000 to €45,000
- Hybrid working – 2 days WFH after probation
