Job description

Area Service Manager – North of England – Home Based.  Mechanical Machinery Manufacturer – Circa £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience + Vehicle + Company benefits package + Opportunities for progression!

THE JOB:

Working for a manufacturer and supplier of specialist farm machinery. The purpose of the role is to oversee the parts and aftersales departments, implementing new systems and working methods to ensure stock levels, orders and stock inventory are managed efficiently to serve demand. You will be responsible for overseeing the project management of new installations, reporting on progress to the senior management team, and the customer and coordinating the materials and labour to hit deadlines.

You will be an exceptional communicator, with excellent customer facing and relationship building skills. You will build strong working relationships with production, sales, and engineering managers to continually improve products and the service to the customer.

There is a great deal of autonomy with this role and the opportunity to shape the operations and service elements of the business.

There are excellent opportunities for progression within the UK division of this European owned business.

Home based, ideally within the North of England, with travel throughout the UK and infrequently to Europe.

THE CANDIADTE:

  • Experience within a Technical Aftersales or Service Manager position

  • Qualified in mechanical / Ag Engineering or similar discipline.

  • Excellent communication skills and customer facing experience

  • A ‘can do’ attitude and approach to work

  • Full Driving Licence

  • Able to travel as required (UK and Europe)
