Senior Dairy Herd Person – England (North West) Salary to £30,000 + (DOE) + Accommodation!
THE ROLE:
As Senior Herdsperson for this Dairy Farm in the North West of England, you will be responsible for the day-to-day needs of a 400 herd of milking cows, including twice daily milking utilising the Herringbone milking system and grazing. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall health & wellbeing of the stock, following the feeding/cow nutritional regimes and also undertaking general farm housekeeping duties. This opportunity would suit an experienced dairy herdsperson seeking to progress their career in taking on more responsibility with the day to day running of the herd, while remaining hands on!
THE CANDIDATE:
- Previous dairy herd husbandry experience.
- A good knowledge of working dairy farms.
- Experience of Herringbone milking system would be an advantage.
- Hard working.
- Able to work on their own initiative and a team player.
- Be computer literate, be able to input heard data.
- Previous experience of operating farm machinery.
- Full driving licence.
THE PACKAGE:
Salary to £30,000 + (Dependant on Experience) + Accommodation (2 bed house).
