Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Dairy Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dairy farming and management, with a passion for ensuring the highest standards of animal care and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the dairy farm, including feeding, milking, and health monitoring of the herd.
- Manage and lead a team of dairy workers, providing guidance and support.
- Implement and maintain best practices for herd health, nutrition, and breeding programs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records related to milk production, herd health, and farm operations.
- Collaborate with veterinarians, nutritionists, and other experts to optimize herd performance.
The candidate:
- Proven experience in dairy farming and management.
- Strong knowledge of dairy herd health, nutrition, and breeding practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and address issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Familiarity with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Previous experience in a managerial role on a dairy farm.
The package:
- Salary: up to £60,000 per annum DOE (Negotiable)
