Arable Operator
Experienced Arable Operator - North Doncaster - £15.00 per hour + Overtime + £600/month rent allowance
The Job:
We are looking for an experienced Arable Operator to join our dedicated team. This role offers a varied workload across the farming calendar, with opportunities to develop skills in spraying, combining, and cultivations. You will be working with modern machinery and be part of a supportive and positive working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a range of machinery for spraying, combining, drilling, and cultivations
- Assisting with the day-to-day operations across the 1,500-acre farm, expanding to 1,800 acres. - Carrying out routine maintenance and ensuring machinery is kept in good working condition
- Supporting crop production including winter wheat, barley, oilseed rape, spring crops, sugar beet, and beans
- Working to high standards of safety, efficiency, and crop care
- Collaborating with the farm team to meet seasonal and daily objectives
The Company:
A progressive arable enterprise in North Doncaster, currently farming 1,500 acres with plans to expand to 1,800 acres. They grow a diverse mix of crops including winter wheat, barley, oilseed rape, spring peas and barley, sugar beet and beans. The Candidate:
- Proven experience as an Arable Operator on medium to large arable farms
- Competent in machinery operations including spraying (PA1/PA2 preferred), combining, and cultivations
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute
- Full UK driving licence
The Package:
- £15.00 per hour + overtime
- £600 per month rent contribution
- Regular working hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm (with flexibility during peak seasons)
