Job description

THE ROLE:
This global and leading animal nutrition / animal feed organisation are looking for a Feed Formulations Manager to head up their formulations team within their East Midlands office.  This is an extremely prestigious company to work for, with great plans for the future that you can be an instrumental part of. They are looking for someone nutritionally strong, possessing a good customer focus and ideally experience of managing a small team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the formulations team and their personal development in their roles
  • Manage the formulation process ensuring least cost formulation of established products using the company formulation software
  • Provide customers with product formulation, product costing and labelling in line with customer expectations and targets.
  • Support the development of new products within Sales/Marketing
  • Provide report and effective escalation process including proposal for resolution of significant formulation issues
  • Ensure relevant legislative updates are applied as required
  • Review processes for improvement opportunities
  • Meet KPIs on turnaround and accuracy

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Nutritionally strong, possessing a good customer focus and ideally experience of managing a small team.
  • Degree in Animal Science or Nutrition
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Ability to effectively manage the pressure of a fast-paced teamwork environment with multiple project priorities
  • An innovative team player dedicated to customer service and relationship building
  • Strong proof reading skills with a commitment to ensure accuracy
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work to and meet deadlines
