Field Team Leader (Fruit Farm and Packhouse) - Kent. Good rates of pay, accommodation available if required, ongoing training, opportunities for career progression!
The Job Vacancy:
This is an exciting opportunity for a permanent Field Team Leader, based on a fruit farm in Kent.
This role is a step up from a field supervisor, so as well as supervising gangs during harvest you would assist with irrigation, organising accommodation for new arrivals, complete individual training programmes for staff. Out of season the work is varied and may include maintenance of machinery and caravans, pruning, tunnel work and general husbandry jobs. Another language, Romanian, Bulgarian or Russian would be an advantage, as would a driving license. If required, accommodation could be provided on the farm at a reduced rate.
The Candidate:
- Experience of working with soft fruit is essential.
- Experience of irrigation & general land maintenance is desirable.
- Previous experience in a similar position.
- Experience of managing a team.
- Enthusiastic and motivated.
- The ability to speak Romanian, Bulgarian or Russian would be an advantage.
- Driving licence would be an advantage.
