General Manager – Agricultural Retail - Cheshire - £70,000 DOE + Bonus
The Job:
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven General Manager to join a highly respected agricultural retail business based in Cheshire. With a long-standing reputation for quality products and outstanding customer service, the company supplies a wide range of farming, equestrian, and rural goods to a loyal and expanding customer base.
As General Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day and strategic leadership of the business. This role demands an individual with strong commercial acumen, exceptional leadership ability, and a solid understanding of the agricultural retail sector—ideally with experience at competitors such as Mole Valley Farmers, Wynnstay, or Ritters.
You will oversee operations, manage budgets, develop and support your team, and be a key player in the business’s continued growth and success.

The Candidate:
- Proven experience in a senior management role within agricultural retail
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking, with a results-driven mindset
- Excellent understanding of agricultural products and services
- Inspirational leader with the ability to develop and motivate a diverse team
- Financially astute with hands-on experience managing budgets and KPIs
- Customer-focused, with a passion for delivering excellence in service
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with competitor operations (e.g., Mole Valley Farmers, Wynnstay, Ritters) is highly desirable
The Package:
- £70,000 per annum
