The Job:
Are you an experienced head gardener or grounds manager with a passion for maintaining estate grounds? We’re looking for a dedicated Head Grounds Person to lead the care and ongoing development of some beautiful gardens, grounds, and woodlands in Kildare, Ireland. As well as manage a team of 6 gardening and grounds staff. This is a very hands on role, for someone that loves working outdoors.

The Role:
- Overall responsibility for the maintenance and presentation of extensive private grounds, including formal gardens, fencing, hedges, tree felling, lawns, woodlands, and open spaces
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of 6 garden staff and manage their day to day duties
- Co-ordinate the overall maintenance of the grounds of a few thousand acres
- Liaise with external contractors as necessary
- Purchasing of garden machinery and supplies

The Candidate:
- Proven experience in estate, gardens or grounds management
- Amenity Horticulture qualification
- Hands-on horticultural knowledge and a proactive, practical approach
- Strong leadership skills
- Organised, reliable and able to prioritise work effectively across multiple areas
