The Job:
A growing international manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Head of Shipping / Shipping Manager to take full, end to end ownership of all global shipping activity. This is a senior management role with clear decision making authority and accountability for outcomes, cost control, compliance and operational continuity.

The Company:
Our client is an established and expanding international manufacturer operating within a regulated environment. The business places strong emphasis on control, accuracy, and proactive risk management, with shipping playing a critical role in protecting margins, customer commitments and compliance obligations.

The Candidate:
- Senior level experience in shipping or freight management with full end to end accountability
- Strong working knowledge of international freight (sea, air and road) across global trade lanes
- Proven experience managing freight forwarders and third party logistics providers
- Solid understanding of customs, compliance, regulated goods and Products of Animal Origin (POAO)
- Demonstrated cost control capability, including demurrage, detention and landed cost management
- Confident operating with decision authority rather than dependency on escalation
- Strong ERP/Sage experience with a high standard of data accuracy
- Calm, decisive, and commercially focused with a preventative, control led mindset

The Package:
- Salary €60,000+ DOE
- Full-time, permanent position
- Hybrid working available (2 days per week from home following probation)
- 25 days annual leave
