Land Manager
Renewables Land Manager - Fulham, London, Norwich - £55,000 - £70,000 DOE
 
Our client, a leading renewable energy developer, is currently seeking a Land Manager to join their dynamic team. This exciting opportunity has arisen due to the company's continued growth and expansion.
We are looking for a land & property professional to join the team and add their experience to the connection and consenting process. Working as part of a growing UK development team you will be taking responsibility for acquiring new sites, land rights to connect new sites, sourcing new opportunities, and assisting the project managers in bringing sites to ‘shovel-ready status’.
You will be reporting directly to our Head of Land.
The Role:
  • Identifying suitable land for existing grid connections
  • Identifying new opportunities, where the network allows
  • Negotiating HoTs and managing agreements to completion together with the legal team
  • Stakeholder engagement and management across large and small schemes
  • Working with Project Managers on DCOs and LPA sites to secure land rights, engage with stakeholders, and assist in the management of landowners, and land consultants on DCO schemes
  • Regular reporting and updating of progress to the wider development team
Candidate Requirements:
  • Chartered Surveyor, and/or Fellow of Association of Agricultural Valuers (FAAV not essential)
  • 0-5 years post qualification experience (Flexible, but likely no graduates) Utilities project work, either on landowner side or utilities side
  • Experience with HoTs, licences, an understanding of property transactions and commercial terms
  • A base understanding of farming practices, rural affairs, and challenges
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • A technical ability: there is a requirement to use basic GIS software. GIS experience desirable but not required
  • Excellent communication skills, a proven ability to work as part of a team, and highly motivated with the ability to travel regularly within the UK
 
The package:
Salary - £55,000 - £70,000 DOE
