Management Accountant (Farm)– South East England – Salary to 28k (Pro-Rata)
My client, a leading grower of vegetables, together with cereals and other crops, is seeking a Management Accountant to join their friendly team in the South East of England.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for taking control of all aspects of the business account function. This will include, recording all transactions (3 sets of accounts – limited company and 2 partnerships), issuing sales invoices, and managing debtors (in conjunction with the business manager), paying suppliers and managing creditors, monitoring bank transactions and managing cashflow, submitting VAT returns for 3 businesses (2 monthly, 1 quarterly), running 3 payrolls (totalling over 50 employees), producing accounts to Trial Balance, liaising with external accountants and auditors, and ensuring timely submissions to HMRC, pension providers, etc.
The Candidate:
- AAT qualified (or qualified by experience)
- Good working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Must have experience of VAT
- Must have experience of payroll, and auto-enrolment pensions
- Experience with accounts software (eg Sage) is essential
- Experience with Farmplan software an advantage, but training available
The Package
Salary to £28000 (Pro-rata) - flexible hours - 4 days a week, or equivalent hours spread over 5 days.
