Are you passionate about pigs and looking for a new career? We are recruiting for a pig stockperson who is responsible for executing various husbandry duties as part of a team on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
£25.5k - £29k DOE.
Accomadation can be provided (additional cost)
Work Hours: A minimum of 39 hours per week, with flexibility to work as required to achieve targets, including some bank/public holidays, weekend work, and night shifts as needed.
Holidays: 31 days per year, including Bank Holidays.
Other Benefits: Company Health Scheme, Company Pension Scheme.

Responsibilities:
- Implementing daily routines to achieve individual unit goals.
- Ensuring the basic welfare requirements of animals are met through daily tasks.
- Identifying and implementing best practices consistently.
- Developing personal skills to meet unit targets and operate effectively.
- Operating within the welfare codes of practice and environmental parameters.
- Assisting the Pig Unit Manager and Assistant Pig Manager in implementing and developing unit strategies to meet targets.
- Operating safely in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Daily feeding, watering, and monitoring of animal health and environment.
- Providing support and covering for other team members as directed by the Line Manager.
- Carrying out routines as specified by the Line Manager.
- Reporting any compromises to animal welfare to the Manager.
- Participating in training courses as required to enhance operational skills.
- Ensuring a safe work environment and reporting potential safety hazards.
- Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in the work area.
