Regenerative Agriculture Expert – Superb day rate + Investment and Share Options
THE JOB:
Our client is a Global investment management company, seeking a Regenerative Agriculture Expert to offer credibility, solutions, strategic and practical direction to investment proposals.
You will review investment proposals and financial appraisals for underutilised or financially unviable farms, test the assumptions made, and the strategy of farm selection, making recommendations based on your experience.
Ideally you will hold a formal agricultural / business qualification to degree level or equivalent in a land based subject area, along with a strong team ethos, willingness to assist others, a sound knowledge or practical experience of farming practices (Ideally in harsh climates) and experience of new farming techniques and technology.
The successful candidate needs strong numerical capabilities and an understanding of farming accounts, must be able to demonstrate the ability to quickly interpret data, prepare written reports and deliver specialist technical and commercial advice at the highest level.
Following acquisition of farms, you will make a difference to our agricultural clients by providing them with the business knowledge and skills to drive their success and profitability. It is expected that you will have a broad understanding of sustainable farming businesses including managing the fundamental resources of soil, water and nutrients to maximise efficient production whilst undertaking measures to protect the environment and biodiversity for the future.
The successful candidate will have a pivotal role in supporting farmers and producers throughout the world. This will require excellent team working abilities, a proven effectiveness in self-organisation and deadline delivery and strong interpersonal skills, alongside an enquiring mind focused on delivering the best outcomes for farming clients and landowners.
The position will be home based, with international travel as required.
THE CANDIDATE:
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
· Practical and technical experience of growing / farming.
· Familiar with financial appraisals.
· Strong report writing skills.
· Experience of regenerative agricultural projects.
· Ability to travel internationally.
· Outstanding communication, influence, and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent organisational skills and achieves deadlines.
· Fluency in both English and an additional language would be a great advantage.
