The Sales Agronomist role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to make a significant impact in the world of agriculture. This position plays a pivotal role in our clients mission to provide innovative agricultural solutions to our clients.

In this technical position, the Sales Agronomist will provide expert guidance and tailored solutions to farmers and agricultural clients regarding crop nutritional management and soil health. The role also involves developing and implementing sales strategies to promote our advanced agronomic products and services, with a focus on achieving sales targets and expanding our customer base.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Consultation: Offer expert advice and solutions to farmers and agricultural clients on crop nutritional management and soil health.
  2. Sales and Business Development: Develop and execute sales strategies, generating sales for a portfolio of accounts, and expanding our customer base.
  3. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and monitor customer satisfaction.
  4. Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in agronomy and agricultural technology to effectively communicate the value of our products.
  5. Technical Presentations: Conduct presentations and workshops to educate clients on the benefits and proper use of our agronomic solutions.
  6. Field Trials and Demonstrations: Organize and oversee field trials and research projects to showcase the effectiveness of our products and gather valuable data for further development.
  7. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to provide insights for product enhancement and market positioning.
  8. Technical Support: Provide clients with technical support to troubleshoot issues related to our products and services.
Qualifications:
  • A qualification in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture, or Horticulture.
  • Proven experience in agricultural sales, preferably in a technical sales role.
  • Ideally FACTS qualified and registered.
  • Strong knowledge of crop nutritional management and soil science.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally overseas.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer competency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
