Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead product development initiatives, including identifying new products and enhancing existing ones.
- Conduct laboratory and production-sized trials for new formulations, ensuring close communication with management regarding progress and issues.
- Source and prepare technical documentation, adhering to current procedures and systems.
- Stay updated with market trends and new product launches through research and collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
- Build and maintain knowledge of new technologies and industry standards.
- Lead clinical trials with customers and/or academic establishments.
- Foster strong working relationships with sales and marketing colleagues to gather feedback on products.
- Provide technical support and actively participate in product development and R&D meetings.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain health and safety standards.
The Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field such as Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related discipline. Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in product development or a related role within the food, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries.
- Strong knowledge of formulation science, including experience with laboratory and production-scale trials.
- Experience in sourcing and preparing technical documentation such as raw material specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and finished product specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to stay updated with market trends and new product launches through research and collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead clinical trials with customers and/or academic establishments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining health and safety standards.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to occasionally travel to other sites, including international travel, as required.
