THE ROLE:
This is an extremely exciting time for this business who are looking to recruit a well-seasoned sales professional from the ruminant feed/animal nutrition industry that is looking for a key role within a fast growing business, where they can work highly autonomously and shape the future of this business within the UK and Europe. A key instrumental position that will be highly rewarded, will involve managing a key distributor network (both small and large scale) throughout the UK and Europe and setting up new key distribution channels for the business. This business has patents throughout the world for this highly innovative and successful product and the role will be split between sales and commercial management.
THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will have a science-based degree with sales and marketing experience within agriculture/ animal production/animal nutrition arena. He/she will be able to communicate at technical director level and negotiate at board level. He/she must be a self-starter and prepared to travel extensively to develop overseas markets.
Product management experience specifically within the dairy industry would be an advantage as would a working knowledge of EU and US feed regulations.
Key Skills Required:
- Experienced in sales of ruminant feed/ruminant feed ingredients.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Ability to locate and develop new agents, distribution channels and organisations throughout both the UK and Europe.
- Strong negotiator.
- Ability to provide both technical and marketing support as part of the role.
THE PACKAGE:
Basic salary in the region of circa £50k - £70k basic plus superb commission levels, and full benefits package, company car etc and definite opportunities for further progression in the business. This really is a fantastic long-term opportunity within a growing international business.
