The Job Vacancy:
This Food Category Buyer/Purchasing Manager (FMCG) job vacancy is working for a major handler of fruit and vegetables in Birmingham. Working in lovely modern offices, with a dynamic team, this work be a great role for someone with a few years of buying or trading experience! You will be responsible for buying fruit and vegetables from farmers and growers, as well as managing the logistics to ensure production arrives on time and is at a good quality. The Candidate:
At least 2 years experience in a buying or trading role with FMCG goods
Possesses good communication, planning and organisational skills
Computer literate
Customer focused
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Team player
Be a Completer/Finisher with a high degree of attention to detail and maintaining a sense of urgency
Be mobile – able to visit customers as and when necessary
The Package:
A highly competitive salary is offered, circa £26,000 - £30,000 basic (dependent upon experience) + free parking, 28 days holiday, pension, fantastic company benefits scheme, discount vouchers + various welfare benefits and definite opportunities to progress!
