General Farm Worker & sprayer operator
General Farm Worker & sprayer operator - Faversham, Kent - £30,000 – £40,000 DOE

Working Hours
Harvest season: 6 days per week, 6:45am – 5:00pm
Winter season: 5 days per week, 7:00am – 4:00/4:30pm

The Job:
The successful candidate will take on a broad range of responsibilities, supporting the day to day running of the farm throughout the year. This is a varied position covering all aspects of fruit production and general farm maintenance, with working patterns that reflect the seasonality of the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with all aspects of top fruit production, including pruning, thinning and harvesting
- Operate farm machinery and equipment as required – spraying, mowing etc
- Carry out general farm maintenance, including fencing, irrigation, and workshop tasks
- Support seasonal workers during busy periods to ensure smooth harvest operations
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and welfare for all staff on site
- Ensure produce is handled and presented to quality assurance standards
- Adapt flexibly to changing priorities across the year

The Company:
We are representing a well established 8 hectare top fruit farm based in Faversham, Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and reliable General Farm Worker to join a close knit team on a progressive fruit growing enterprise.

The Candidate:
- Previous experience in fruit growing, vineyards, pruning, horticulture general farm work is essential
- Competent with machinery operation and basic maintenance
- Strong work ethic, reliability and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable to seasonal workloads
- Driving licence essential
- Min level 2 NVQ education

- Competitive salary of £30,000 – £40,000 DOE
