Glasshouse Supervisor
Glasshouse Supervisor – Lincolnshire - Competitive Salary + Benefits
The Job:
Are you an experienced and proactive team leader with a background in glasshouse or horticultural environments? We are seeking a capable Glasshouse Supervisor to join a dynamic, fast-paced operation growing high-quality fresh produce. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in day-to-day production, staff supervision, and seasonal planning.
- Supervise glasshouse teams to meet production and quality standards
- Monitor productivity, ensuring efficiency and optimal labour costs
- Deliver toolbox talks and lead staff inductions with professionalism
- Assist with labour planning and rota creation.
- Support the management of tracking systems (e.g. Harvest Manager) to monitor yield and labour performance
- Provide cover for other supervisory roles as needed
- Participate in call-out and weekend rota as scheduled
- Ensure all necessary documentation for staff (starters/leavers/absence) is completed accurately
- Maintain a safe, compliant working environment in line with health & safety procedures
- Support weekly payroll, stocktake, and packaging requirements as needed
The Candidate:
- Previous supervisory experience in a horticultural, agricultural, or glasshouse setting
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong organisational and IT skills (MS Office proficiency required)
- Confident in using labour planning and tracking systems
- A proactive, hands-on attitude and ability to lead by example
- Comfortable working extended hours during seasonal peaks
- Additional languages (Bulgarian, Romanian, Russian) are a plus
