Nursery Manager (Horticulture) – Sussex. Salary depending on experience + opportunities for career progression!
The Job:
This is an exciting opportunity for a permanent Nursery Manager, based on a family run site in Sussex, producing first class quality plants for the retail market.
The successful candidate, will oversee the day-to-day operations on site – ground preparation, planting, propagation, growing, pest control, irrigation and harvest of the plants (glasshouse). You will have a good degree of autonomy and report directly to the owner.
The successful candidate, will be able use their creativity, skills and knowledge to develop and improve the nursery operations. This is a long-term opportunity for someone really seeking to make their mark on the business!
The Candidate:
Horticultural experience – growing under glass.
Qualified in Horticulture/Agronomy or similar discipline.
Previous experience in a similar position.
Experience of managing a team would be an advantage.
An excellent communicator at all levels.
Enthusiastic and motivated.
Full UK Driving licence.
The Package:
Salary level negotiable depending on experience + opportunities for career progression!
