Territory Manager
Territory Manager – France - €60,000 – €70,000 + Uncapped Performance Based Bonus + Company Car + Benefits
The Job:
The primary objective of this role is to secure heavy equipment consignments and ensure auction sites are fully stocked ahead of each sale date.
Working to clear performance targets, you will expand your territory through strong new business development skills while maximising consignments via your established network of industry contacts.
Unlike many competitors, Territory Managers are not restricted to a fixed geographic patch. Your territory is defined by opportunity — anywhere you can generate business. While your core focus will be the French sales site, you will also have the opportunity to consign equipment to auction sites globally, maximising your earning potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Secure consignments of heavy plant, construction, agricultural, and transport equipment
- Proactively develop new business opportunities across France
- Maintain and grow relationships with buyers and sellers
- Identify market trends and create demand for consigned equipment
- Attend auctions, including site set-up and auction days
- Travel extensively within your territory
The Company:
A leading global auction company is seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Territory Manager to develop and grow its presence across France.
Our client conducts unreserved auctions of industrial plant, construction equipment, and agricultural machinery worldwide, operating across Europe, the UK, UAE, Australia, the US and Canada. As a market leader in Europe, the business holds more sales and sells more lots per auction than any other auction house in its sector.
The Candidate:
- Machinery enthusiast with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong negotiator who can identify opportunities and close deals decisively
- Experienced in new business development using both traditional and innovative sales approaches.
- Commercially astute, with the ability to influence both buyers and sellers.
- Self-starter capable of working independently and managing your own time effectively
- Excellent communicator who builds strong rapport across the industry.
- Minimum of 4 years’ proven sales experience within Construction, Agriculture, Transport, or related sectors.
- An established network of industry contacts within your region
- In-depth knowledge of heavy equipment and market activity across France
- Strong understanding of national and global market trends
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively
- Strong organisational and IT skills (full systems training provided)
- Full, clean driving licence
The Package:
- Salary €60,000 – €70,000 per annum
