Job description

F-Gas Refrigeration Engineer
F-Gas Refrigeration Engineer – Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire & North Wales -£38,000 + Overtime (1.5x) + £100 Callout Bonus + Pension + 25 Days Holiday

Field-Based Role – Covering Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire & North Wales
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 1 in 3 On-Call Rota (Emergency Only)

The Job:
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing farm milk cooling systems and associated refrigeration equipment
- Installing bulk milk tanks (1,000L–40,000L), ice builders (70kw–300kw), heat recovery units, plate coolers, and condensing units
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration faults
- Ensuring full F-Gas compliance and issuing certification
- Supporting farmers with system upgrades and efficiency improvements to enhance performance and reduce costs

The Candidate: 
- F-Gas qualified (Category 1 preferred) or working towards it
- Experienced in refrigeration, HVAC, or electrical engineering – dairy or agricultural experience is a bonus, but not essential
- Skilled in fault-finding, brazing, soldering, and electrical testing (up to 415v)
- Practical, self-motivated, and customer-focused – able to work independently and as part of a small, supportive team
- A confident problem-solver with a strong work ethic and attention to detail

The Package:
- Competitive Salary: £35,000–£38,000 DOE (higher for Service Manager level)
- Overtime Premium: Paid at 1.5x rate, plus £100 callout bonus
- Stable Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- On-Call Rota: 1 in 3 (emergency only, evenings/weekends)
- 25 days holiday (after qualifying period) + company pension scheme
- Ongoing training and development opportunities
