Job description

Herdsperson 
Herdsperson / Dairy Farm Worker – Kirkbuddo, Angus Scotland - £13.50 – £14.00 per hour

The Job:
The farm currently milks around 300 cows, with plans to expand to 450–500 cows within the next 18 months. This is a newly established dairy enterprise within a mixed farming operation that also includes potatoes, cereals, beef suckler cows, and laying hens.
Working closely with the Farm Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the dairy, supporting herd health, performance, and overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Milking and maintaining high standards of parlour hygiene (44/88 Boumatic parlour with in-parlour feeding)
- Monitoring animal health and welfare
- Assisting with fertility management and calving
- Pasture management and feeding routines
- Machinery operation and general farm maintenance
- Record keeping and compliance support
- Supporting the wider farm team as required

The Candidate:
- Experienced in dairy farming (minimum 1–2 years preferred)
- Honest, dependable, and hardworking
- Confident working independently and within a team
- Committed to high standards of animal welfare
-  Keen to learn, develop, and progress into a more senior role
- A full UK driving licence and the ability to operate farm machinery safely are essential.

The Package: 
- £13.50 – £14.00 per hour (DOE)

Candidate Requirements
