The Job:
A large-scale, progressive calf rearing business is seeking a dedicated General Farm Worker to join its growing team based near Frome, Somerset. With over 2,500 calves on site, this is an exciting opportunity for someone with solid livestock experience, particularly in calf or youngstock care. The role involves hands-on animal husbandry, with a focus on health, hygiene, and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Daily feeding of calves
- Monitoring calf health and administering treatments where necessary
- Maintaining high hygiene standards in calf housing
- Recording animal data and assisting with routine weigh-ins
- Operating farm machinery, including daily use of a telehandler

The Candidate:
- Proven experience operating a telehandler (essential)
- Livestock handling experience, ideally with calves or youngstock

- Reliable, hardworking and proactive attitude
- Willingness to work flexible hours as required, including occasional weekends
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
