Aquaculture / Seafood Technical Manager (Food Security) - Scotland

THE JOB VACANCY:
This is a fantastic job for an individual that is passionate and experienced within the seafood / aquaculture industry that is looking to work for a major player within the industry, that can offer an excellent career path and continued development within the is specialist industry. Based in Scotland.

If you have a great deal of commitment to the aquaculture industry and want to contribute to better fish health and food safety, then this is something for you. This organisation is developing their presence globally in the food security business within the aquaculture and fisheries market and looking for the right person to develop strategies and product manage in these segments. Ideally you are an individual with a range of experience in the seafood industry or aquaculture market looking for a new challenge or have technical skills in the industry that you wish to develop further.  You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional international teams across various locations. You must be a team player while having your own drive and motivation to develop relationships with and help their customers.

THE CANDIDATE:

  • Previous experience in the seafood industry or aquaculture market is essential.
  • Familiarity with at least one main aquaculture market and an understanding of others.
  • Scientific or Aquaculture related degree essential
  • Ability to present and demonstrate technical knowledge
  • Excellent relationship management, organisational and planning skills
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and multitask while producing work of a high standard and accuracy
  • Able to prioritise and manage own workload
  • Able to travel as required

THE PACKAGE:

Starting salary circa £30,000 - £40,000 basic + benefits package and definite opportunities for long-term career progression.
