Job Description
We are seeking an Engineering Shift Manager to join one of the UK’s leading food businesses, supplying chicken and turkey to the country’s major supermarkets and well-known restaurants. The successful candidate will operate on a 5-shift continental pattern, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of our processing facility's engineering operations.
Responsibilities:
Your role will be integral to maintaining high standards of operational excellence and driving continuous improvement initiatives within our engineering department.

Package:
£46,000 - £56,000 per annum plus shift allowance £7785
5 8-hour continental Engineering Shift Pattern - Specific shift timings and rotation details would be provided upon further discussion with the employer.

Your role will be integral to maintaining high standards of operational excellence and driving continuous improvement initiatives within our engineering department.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and manage a team of Engineers and Apprentices, overseeing their day-to-day activities and ensuring compliance with administrative requirements.
- Monitor on-shift engineering performance, prioritising safety and efficiency to meet production targets.
- Identify areas for improvement within equipment and processes, implementing enhancements as necessary.
- Coordinate stock usage, tool management, and workshop maintenance to support operational needs.
- Facilitate team training and development, providing coaching and skills enhancement opportunities.
- Analyse equipment effectiveness data and lead improvement projects to optimise performance.
- Prepare Engineering Shift Reports to document key activities and outcomes.
